Alleluia Lutheran Church announces the opening of Abraham’s Footsteps, a free Christian café which
will meet in the Fellowship Hall beginning Wednesday, October 7. Abraham’s Footsteps provides an
environment to be alive in God, family and community as it is open to everyone. The mission is to glorify God by bringing the community together in hospitality and fellowship. The vision is to develop a Christian environment that fosters conversation among all the generations. While the Abraham’s Footsteps is a recipient of LCMS and Thrivent grants to fund start-up costs, ongoing expenses will be covered through donations of volunteers, attendees and other interested parties.
Abraham’s Footsteps is open on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Free coffee, tea and hot chocolate will be served along with coffee cakes and/or pastries. Although all ages are welcome, child-care will not be provided. However, there will be toys and videos available in the Fellowship Hall.
Each week Abraham’s Footsteps focuses on Christian discussion questions that generate good conversation, potential applications, and possibly divergent viewpoints. With God’s Word as the foundation, Christian music provides a nurturing atmosphere in the Cafe. Our generous DCE intern, Laura Taranto, is our guest performer on October 7. We appreciate the voluntary service of anyone with musical talent to perform or assist in planning music.
Abraham’s Footsteps is hosting an Open House before and after each service on Sunday, October 4.
Please make this a part of your Sunday fellowship.
If you are interested in volunteering your services or have any questions, please contact Laurie Kiekhaefer, Kathryn Lich or the church office (920-532-3892).
